Are Sleeping In to Stomp Out Homelessness

(Greensboro, NC) – November 11, 2016 – Board members of the Greensboro based non-profit organization; Tiny Houses Greensboro will be doing their part to reduce homelessness in the Guilford County community during their upcoming Sleep INN to Stomp Out Homelessness fundraiser.

Beginning Friday, November 11, Tiny House Greensboro board members, who have made it their mission to reduce homelessness throughout Guilford County, will take turns sleeping in their tiny house and are committed to spend each night in their Tiny House until they raise $50,000. to develop their first Tiny house Community.

The tiny house movement, which advocates simple living, began sweeping the country in 2002 and this non-profit organization is turning this trend on its head. In an effort to reduce the number of those experiencing homelessness in Guilford County, Tiny Houses Greensboro, will use the funds raised during this charity event to build the first of what they hope to be many Tiny House Villages in Guilford County.

“Tiny Houses Greensboro is working together to build partnership throughout Guilford County with other nonprofits to address the need for truly affordable housing based on the residence income not profit.” Scott A. Jones Board Chair
